Here's a question regarding unlocking the BBB. I am on the Rogers Network in Canada. Now should I purchase a code to unlock or is there a way to get one free? Are the codes to unlock on Rogers universal? (ie works on any Rogers BBB?) If I do unlock the phone and for whatever reason it has to go back to rogers for a repair and they re-flash the phone and lock it again would the code still work to unlock it or does it get changed all the time by Rogers? Thanks for any info/insight

Call your carrier and tell them you are going to use the phone out of country with a different SIM. They will do it for free.

An unlocked BB is a must for me, as I travel internationally.

I called AT&T today (as I always do), asked for an unlock code, they put me on hold and 5 minutes later my phone was unlocked. For free almost, there was my labor charge....

Each code is unique. You have to get the code based on your IMEI number.

There is no universal code to unlock the BlackBerry

Is at&t giving instant unlocking right now for blackberry bolds? I remember when i was getting my curve unlocked from them it would take a couple of days. I just got my bold i was hoping to get it unlocked by unfortunately they are closed right now.

Just got off the phone with AT&T and they gave me the code needed to unlock my Bold. Very painless and had a great conversation with the lady who helped me. She's been debating on getting a Bold for herself. She's going out in the morning to purchase one. Also, I asked her to check out Pinstack and sign up. The addiction builds and builds... LOL
