Sounds to me like someone took all the patents that have been rumored to be RIMS and combined it into an article.

Besides----doesn't RIM and ATT have an exclusivity deal in the US?

If they weren't going for a screen as big as an iPhone, why not real keyboard AND touch screen? There might be instances where touch will feel more natural than the trackball. I'd probably like it in the browser anyway. (Maybe if I could ramp the sensitivity of the cursor up about 40,000 times, I wouldn't mind; I should be able to drag the trackball slowly and make it across the screen in one stroke. Having to flick the thing quickly or drag 2+ times is just silly on such a small screen.)

If they keep it to roughly 8800/Curve/Bold dimensions, it might be interesting, with or without a trackball in tow.
