    Question Y! Messenger and "This application has been disabled by IT policy" error

    Downloaded and tried to sign in but it gives me the error:

    "This application has been disabled by IT policy"


    I am just learning the Blackberry, so I don't know what to do to fix it. Any help is appreciated!!

    I have a 7130e on US Cellular
    v4.10.352 (platform 2.2.0.165)

    If you're on BES it sounds like your employer locked down the phone to prevent certain applications from being run on it. If you're not and this is just a second hand phone that you're using on BIS there is a way to get rid of the IT policy, but don't do it if you are on BES and it's an employer phone since that could get you fired.

    My phone is my own, not the company's. I do not run enterprise on it. It is for personal use only. That said, could you help me with getting rid of the IT policy?

    First off, you can verify there's an IT policy by going to Options>Security Options>General Settings and scrolling down. You should see something mentioned naming a policy (if there is one). Check your Private Messages on Pinstack for more info.

    I Have the same issue but with Blackberry messenger.. I just went to options.... & it says IT Policy name : Default.
    I Desperately neeed to get messenger working
    what do i do next ?
