Try hard reset first. If not you may need an OS reinstall/update.

Did you install any third party apps recently?

I am getting the same alert on my 7290 that I use as backup...It started popping up with a theme I installed recently. As much as I like the theme (Lightwaves A), I am going to remove it and see if that eliminates the problem. The alert on mine just pops up without me doing anything...I'll look at the screen and suddenly its there! What a bummer.

...Looks like removing the theme eliminated that alert! It hasn't popped up since.

    Re: Uncaught exception: java.lang.NullPointerException

After speaking to technical people for a week as I constantly had this pop up on my 7290, reinstalling software numerous times they sent me a new blackberry. Once I restored my information the same problem happened on the new blackberry. Never one to give up I finally found the problem. Every 30 minutes the screen was to go on standby mode and display a downloaded picture. Problem was that picture was no longer there. So I reset my standby screen and voila - problem resolved.

Having similar problem w/NEXTEL 7100i "uncaught exception: java.lang.error" every time I reboot in any fashion. Also causes phone 2 "re-connect/register" w/network...Also having more complicated problem of forced restarts where screen blanks and "reset" shows n center screen...I know first suggestion is 2 dump/restore or upgrade 2 new OS --Having done both, problems continue...Anyone have problems w/NEXTEL voicemail continuously quitting on 7100i? Keep having 2 get it reset by NEXTEL...or w/having to reset phone 2 get wave ringtones to work again?

I am getting this same error whenever I add names to the address book. Coincidentally, the addy I put in does not update to my Outlook via the Enterprise Server. Any ideas?
I've learned I can throw up long after I thought I was thru.

I just had this error come up from a theme I downloaded. I just removed the theme through Desktop Manager, and now the error is gone.

So, I just would not use that game/theme.

    Thanks

bb7290user-You rock! My admin recently wiped/reset/reinstalled my 7520 and this message kept popping up. I put the error message in my serach engine and found this thread. I went into <OPTIONS> and <Screen/Keyboard> and clicked on the <Preview> under standby screen and immediately got the error message. So I went to <pictures> and enabled one of them as my standby screen........ taadaaa! No error on preview! Thank you Thank you Thank you!
