Hi there.

I have a BB7100v. One of the things I found frustrating was, firstly, the allowed sms length is set at some 900 char.But my service provider allows only 130 chr I think. Is there a way to reset the BB sms length to 130?

Also, how do I send SMS to multiple recipients. I was able to easily do this on my Sony Ericcsion phone, but havent been able to figure it out on the BB.

Please note that all the above messages are pure SMS and not sent using BB PINs.

Well usually if you enter an SMS with more characters than your provider allows it ends up as a 2 or 3 part message.

As far as SMSing more than one recipients, I am unsure of how to do this.

thanks for that dasupaman23. Unfortunately having my SMS cut off into pieces is something that I am trying to avoid. I want to be informed when my SMS is going to span more than one message so that I can manage it better.

I have a bb7290 and I get a character count in the upper right hand corner of the screen when I am in SMS compose mode. Do you have this?

i get a count when i press the ALT button. the count starts from 910 I think and decreases with each char typed in. I want it to start from 128 and not 910. But I cant find a place to do that

Yeah, I have the same thing. I have been looking into it but have not figured it out yet.

You could always just do the math!

Cant you build a Group and then SMS the whole group? Might be a pain, but you could do a work/friends/girls I SMS to get laid etc.
