Ring count increase
Hi Guys - BlackBerry 7100x on O2 - I have a manager that wants to increase the ring count before going to answerphone to give him more time to find and answer the device! - I'm not a regular user of the device and I can't find anything in the manual - I would be very grateful for any advise or help. Regards
Many times this is actually set by the network and not on the handheld. Try calling customer service for your carrier and they may be able to help you out.
If it is on the handheld, it may be under call forwarding options as well. Not familiar with the 7100 myself, but many different phones (on Rogers in Canada, anyway) have it under "busy/no answer" within call forwarding options, usually set to "network controlled".
Hope that helps!
Try this - works with most GSM carriers :
Depending on your carrier you may be able to set the number of seconds before your call goes to voice mail. You need to know your "voice mail number". If you are on TMO for example, you would dial **61*18056377243**30# where 18056377243 is your voice mail number, this should set your delay to 30 seconds. Try this with carriers VM# and see if it helps. I see you are in the UK but did not mention your carrier -- I know it works Orange.
Thanks Chaps - Both useful info - GaryF's seems to have done something! The Carrier is O2 in the UK. Thanks again.
