I can't get the 'View phone call logs' to work on my 7100i by pressing Alt + OP - that only gives me Outgoing messages (both email and phone logs). Any ideas? Is this different than other 7100 models?

I haven't tested the 7100i yet. So quit posible there's differnces. If you find anything newbe sure to let us know.

I have also been looking for the shortcut to delete the phone logs. The only way I have found to do this is to highlight a missed call message, and then press the wheel and select "View folder" . You can then delete the messages within the "missed calls" folder. The "Delete Prior" will delete all missed call messages. RIM needs to create a shorcut to easily delete these numerous messages. The older Blackberrys had that feature.

Is there anyway to change the way memos are composed? I am used to the 7520 where I could compose a memo from the Messages app. I can still do this, but I want to be able to select a contact directly from the Address book. This would allow me to easily choose Lookup or Use once as well. The 7100i (4.1 OS) allows you to compose a memo without choosing an email address first.

I have figured out how to setup a Group Distribution List for email and it appears that the option is available to setup SMS Group Lists, but when I try to do this for SMS it doesn't work. It will only let me set them up if they have an email address. Any suggestions? I havea 7100g

there is not a known, device-enabled "CAPS LOCK" on any 71XXn handset.

some users have remarked that they have enabled such when using Bluetooth keyboards. this suggests the feature is written into the software, but not coded for regular use.


if you're wanting to type specific, often-used words in "all caps" form you can add those individually to the AutoText catalog and identify SmartCase.

To delete messages in bulk, click on the date and select delete prior.

To toggle between applications or from browser to messages etc, hold alt and press escape. Then you can scroll. ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~
