    Removing Modules

    Dear all

I have been reading some helpful posts here regarding removing applications. I have two pieces of trial software which don't appear in the standard application list, but do appear as modules. What I don't get is the option to remove them in the module screen. Any suggestions please?
    Thanks
    Simon

Welcome to pinstack. Try to reboot your BB and see if they disappear. Take out the battery and hold the power button down for 30 seconds, replace the battery. Let us know how it goes.

Hi, I tried that twice - no luck. Any other thoughts?

    bigpsimon, Welcome to PinStack.

Sorry, but some posts were lost, including my response here. What Apps are you trying to uninstall? How were they Installed, by using Desktop Manager or OTA? Were they Push Services apps?

Let us know if there is anything else we can do to help with this problem or your BB.

    Re: Removing Modules

Hi there, thanks for the welcome.
I am using a mac so I was using PocketMac to install the apps. But as I discovered after looking on the web, the PocketMac Uninstall system doesn't work. The two apps are Chrono Magic (stopwatch/clock app) and an Out Run clone which runs really badly on my 7100v. Both of these apps appear in the module screen but I am not offered the option to delete them when I press the wheel. I have even tried hooking up my blackberry to a PC but the BlackBerry desktop software doesnt see the apps.

    DOH!!

I may have to live with these apps on my blackberry ad finitum but it seems ridiculous.

    Re: Removing Modules

That may be a problem. Can you check your Options/Advanced Options/Service Books to see if these programs have entries in there for services books. If so, try deleting those service books and see what happens. Don't for get the cold reboot after deleting any apps or modules.

    Hope this helps

Thanks for the tip, but no luck. There's nothing under service books. Curse that pocketmac!
