    Question about 7100i screen...

hey whats up fellas i was wondering if the 7100i has a plastic cover over the screen unlike the 7520. my 7520 just seems to have the screen out in the open without a plastic covering like most cell phones. so does the 7100i housing include a plastic cover over it? i mean i want to put an adhesive screen protector on it as opposed to the pda protectors that use suction. so if i put the adhesive protector over my 7100i and then pull it off after a few weeks will it damage my screen? thanks for your help...

So if the screen/housing gets scratched too badly (as my housing is getting to be), it can just be replaced, right? Anyone know how much and where I can get it? And is there a black housing that would be compatible with my 7100i?

when you say replace you mean the whole housing itself correct?

@BenMarvin- you should ask Paul over at www.bbrepairshop.com if they have any 7100i housings yet. I don't think the black 7100x housing is compatible since it doesn't have a spot for the ant.or the PTT. If he doesn't have one, see if you could use a dummy phone to do a housing swap.

Yeah, I've been thinking about replacing the housing. I've dropped it on asphalt twice now and there's some pretty deep scratches. Nothing major, just blemished.

I wonder if I could paint the housing...

I don't see why painting it would be bad. My gf's 7290 was painted silver when they blinged it out, so that the pink could stand out more. Just make sure to put at least 3 coats and be patient while it dries out.

Yeah, we've got this fantastic Rustoleum at work (Home Depot) that's formulated for plastic. Works great. Should go well on a BB. I'll let you guys know when I take the leap.
