I am having so much trouble downloading files from this (and other) sites to my blackberry. When I try to add a file to the desktop manager to download to my blackberry I keep getting a error file message. can someone please give me step by step instructions..........please

you can e-mail me at myveryownBB@cellularone.blackberry.net

Cellular One told me to download a winzip converter and save file from this site on my desktop, i did that but then when I click on the file it brings me to the winzip manager. How the heck do I get them on my BB???

Do you have the desktop manager and current vers. of handheld OS installed on your PC? Is this a loader install or OTA?

Hi kimellis. First you have to take the files out of the zip file and place them somewhere on your pc. Then you have to open the Desktop Manager, software that came with your BB, and after your BB connects you will see something called Application Loader. Once you click Application Loader a screen will pop up and will say application name, and probably be blank in the box, then you choose add and find the file labelled .alx of the program you are trying to load, after that you hit next and finish and your BB should restart and you should have your new program or game or theme! Try this and let us know.

And kimellis, I wouldn't post my Blackberry BIS email address publicly. It's an open invitation for SPAM on your handheld, which can cause severe problems. I would suggest you edit it soon and remove the email address.

    Hope this helps

    Bob,

Under Options, do you have an item called "Location Based Services?" If so, then you are GPS-enabled.

I recommend TeleNav as a Navigation tool and Google Local Maps as well. Check out TeleNav at their website.

    Have fun!
