| OS 4.1 working on 7105t
I can confirm that the OS 4.1 upgrade from Hong Kong CSL is working on my T-Mobile 7105. Follow these instructions and you should be able to have OS 4.1 working for you too. 1.) BACK UP YOUR DATA! - I can't stress how important it is to get a good backup in the event you need to retore your data. 2.) Verify that you are using the latest version of Desktop Manager. In the program use the Help menu and select About Desktop Manager. The latest version is 4.1.0.8. If you need the latest version follow this link. 3.) Download OS 4.1 from this link. 4.) Install 4.1 using the .exe file you just downloaded. 5.) Search your computer's hard drive for the "vendor.xml" file. Once you find it, delete it. 6.) Connect you device to your PC via the USB cable. 7.) Open Desktop Manager. It should recognize that there is an upgrade for your device. Follow the prompts and you will have OS 4.1 installed in about 15 to 20 minutes. Good luck and of course, myself nor pinstack.com can take responsibilty for any problems that may occur. I will however extend my assistance if you need it. |

Just installed fine on my 7100t; though just to note once you install, you will need to re-enter your TCP information. APN & User/Pass if you previously had that. And themes don't seem to work properly at least on here, it just dies when you try to change. |

Stay tuned for a list of new features and some of the problems that have been encountered. The short answer is, if everything is working for you and you don't have a wish list of features you wish BB had, don't upgrade until your carrier releases an approved 4.1 upgrade. |

I love the new option to pick a ring tone for different people. I missed that from my Sidekick. I think the volume seems louder... maybe its just me, but it scared me to death the first time it made noise.

Mine worked. Tried ramble and IM+ I have the 7100t. Are you using the built in TMo I'm or a 3Rd party IM? You have to set the tcp info up again. ~~~Posted via Blackberry @ wap.pinstack.com~~~ |

No problems at all with ramble. Logged on and sent an im to a bot to be sure I could get a message. I did set up my tcp first. I didn't try before I had that set. Dunno if it has anything to do with ramble tho. ~~~Posted via Blackberry @ wap.pinstack.com~~~ |

mmmmmm... I set up my TCP and checked my broswesr connectivity before I installed ramble and it's still a no go. So is BBCorrector and piconews. I do have PD 3.5 working though! Yeah. I'll have to keep trying things out.
