I have a genuine RIM holster. When my BB is in the holster, it will not ring. It will vibrate, but not ring. I have the profile set to ring plus vibrate, but it doesn't. Any help?

I believe this has already been answered, but aparently (I'm new to this too) there is a magnet in certain cases that make your phone go into "stand by" mode when holstered. On mine, when I have it on the "normal" profile, it will vibrate twice, then ring. It does this so you don't have to lock and unlock your phone every time you holster it.

Cheers and welcome to the site! drinking.gif

Did you try changing the setting to just ring in the holster?

Go to ring profiles advanced settings and check the settings make sure it is not set on mute and that you have chosen low, med,hi or escalating and this might fix it there are settings for in and out of holster.~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

IIRC, the magnet is to let the BB know when it is in and out of the holster, kinds like the flip sensor in a flip style cell phone. For botg in and out of holster ringe, it is set to tone, a ringre, hugu volume, no mute, 3 beeps, and led notification. The phone will ring when out of the holster.

If the settings are set correctly then seriously do a ``Hard Reset``
(remove the battery and re-insert the battery) It usually makes the phone recognize the profile settings.
