Need Help w/ Additional Mailboxes on 7105(tmo)

    Hey all,
I have a quick question- can I set my 7105 to display an addt'l mailbox on my desktop, w/o consolidating those messages ALSO into the main Inbox? The reason is is that I would like my personal email to be completely seperate than the 7 other email addresses getting pushed into that main Inbox on the desktop. I have set up the push service for that email address, works fine, but I cannot find a setting to halt 2 copies of the same message being put on the berry, one in the main inbox, one into the pop mailbox that the latest release drops on there by default. I just want the one "pop" mailbox to be on the desktop receiving all of that one addresses messages. Any help is appreciated.

    -Anthony

    Anthony,
I'm pretty sure this isn't possible. All the separate pop emails go to the main one, and I don't think there is an option available to fix this. Maybe there is a solution I'm not aware of, but I don't think so. Sorry!

I was not aware that the Zen theme could help with this, currently use the MacBerry theme- Because, well, I'm a mac user. But I am not aware of a theme giving you that option, anyone got the Zen theme handy? Ill go looking for it now.

    thanks,

For all who are interested in understanding how this work, follow along.

    1. There is only one list of messages on the Blackberry.
    2. All messages go into this list.
    3. The different Icons on that go along with BIS 2.0 and the new added account capabilities are merely Shortcuts to the master message list with a preset filter to display only emails sent to that account.
    4. The Icon for SMS in the Zen Theme is the same as 3, except it shows only SMS
    5. The Icon for mail in the Zem Theme is the same as 3 and 4 except it shows only email.
    6. There is no filter for messages not associated with the new added accounts (BES or direct BB email address messages).
    7. To limit the message list display to messages from 6. create a filter and set a shortcut key using the search feature in the messages menu.
    8. When you enter the Master message list press your newly created short cut to show only the desired messages. It's only one more keypress.
    9. Currently you can not create an Icon for 8 on your home screen.

    Hope this helps.

it definitely does help, thanks. I guess that's as good as it'll get until someone other than me finds this important...

I think the way that rcbjr stayed is the only way to do it on the 7105, maybe in a later version they will, sorry...

Re: Need Help w/ Additional Mailboxes on 7105(tmo)

It's the only way to do it on any BB Device using OS 4.1.0.xxx, BIS 2.x and BES or getting email directly to the BIS Email address. Maybe when they start rolling out OS 4.1.1.xxx as I imagine that much of a change would not be considered the same as Provider version difference.

    Hope this helps

Rcbjr - You clarified something I was going to post about, but can you take me through the steps necessary to configure the filter so that you will only see corporate account email in the main message, using the shortcut as described above? I tried to do it, but got stuck ...

    Thanks!

Let's see I posted a step by step instruction for something similar recently, but here goes.

    1. Open Message App Menu
    2. Select Search
    3. Scroll to Service and from the menu select Change Option
    4. Select the client that indicates it's from the BES. I'm not sure what it says as I don't have BES.
    5. Select save from the menu
    6. Add a title
    7. Add a short Cut Key
    8. Select Save from the Menu.

This should work, but can't guarrantee it as I don't have BES.

Does any of this apply to BES users? The only options under Filter on the email>options menu is Filter Sender or Filter Subject. I want to filter by email account.
