~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~ I know from being a former nextel customer that they aren't free. Cp6169 will be able to answer this a bit better than I can

MMS are charged at .25/message, sms are charged at .15/message.

You can get a pack of 50 MMS for $5/month, and text are $5 for 300, $10 for 1000, and $15 for Unlimited.

So does that mean for $15 unlimited text and MMS?

    From the nextel website:
Unlimited Text Messaging Plan — $15.00/month
Includes Unlimited Text Messaging and Pay-As-You-Go image/audio messages at $0.25 per sent/received message.

Look like its text only and pay as you go MMS.

    Heres the link:

The only options that you have is SMS or MMS. Although from what I know you can't send "text" messages. But then again I could be wrong, wouldn't be the first time... LOL

    ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~
I just left them and went with tmobile. I got the 8100 for 199. I love this phone! I have excellent service and I'm saving close to 50$ a month, you can pin me if you want more info. Just so you know I broke my contract also. It was worth every freaking dime.

to get around the MMS issue in all of your contacts under email you place the number example 8139201111@teleflip.com
no need to know what service provider they have it automatically determines that and its sent in the form of a email on your end but the receiver get it as a text and when they reply it fills out the reply to with 8139201111@messaging .nextel.com or what ever string 8139201111@vtext.com etc.......... hope this helps as i had an issue not being ableto text but this is a good work around its a lil annoying placing this info under all your contacts but once your done make a backup hehe!!!

Exactly, whomever you want to contact... just copy and past their number in the send "To:" section....add "teleflip.com" and you have your SMS(short message service). Funny thing, it works as good and just as fast if not faster as any other text messaging. and with nextel-BB if u have unlimited service... you can teleflip as long as you please.

    Re: MMS On 7100i

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~when I had my 7100i, I was told by a nextel rep that sms messages were capable of being done on the phone. You would just compose an mms but not add the image or sound and that would send it as an sms. I always looked at my bill and was never charged for mms messages, they were sent as sms, hope this helps

    Re: MMS On 7100i

The BB plans do not include mms, it is confusing for employees because the BB plans are much different than the regular internet plans...
