    Missing "SEND" button 7100i

    Hopefuly someone can help me with this.

    I have a 7100i that is a replacement for a co-workers phone, phone came from local nextel store, a replacement phone so most likely a referb. back to the point...

    backup the user data from original phone-

    swapped battery / sim

    loaded user data to phone

    reset bes server activation password

    reactivated enterprises, all goes through correctly states finished no errors.

    everything works fine, except when you go to reply to a message, no SEND button?? Also unalbe to open attatchments.

    but if you go to compose a new message the send option is there...


    I'm thinking it's with the bes / enterprise activation-

    this is the 2nd phone I am trying this on, with the same result, I have done others in the past with no issues. Last phone I went to upgrade the phone software, and it crashed with a white screen w/ a circle with a / through it error "504" and phone wouldn't do anything else.


    Any suggestions / help on this would be great

    When we do this, we don't swap the SIM. We have Nextel swap the days plan over to the new SIM and then reprovision the unit on the BES

    it's a replacement phone, I was requested to swap sim / battery to new phone per nextel as the old phone was a 7100i as well.

    issue resolved, it was an issue with the BES server, removed the users account re-added them, re-activated the handheld, SEND now avail.


    thanks for anyone who checked into this for me.

    This has been happening weekly to just one of our users. Every week I have to take him out and re-add him. Does anyone know why this would be a frequent re-occurance?

    I have the same problem with my new 8300 and was able to use it through last one hour. I happen to install the Desktop manager on a new laptop and was trying to sync my BB with the new laptop. Got everything screwed up..just like that.
    I was trying myself last one hour failed with all the options and found this thread like a breather. Can you please help me how you did this? appreciate the support from any one.
