Is there a way to change the procedure for opening a new message or email? WHenever I recieve an email/message and I take the phone out of the holster, the message opens automatically. I shter a way to change it so I have to manually open it?

Nope, no way to change it. You could just wait till the notification stops, then unholster, and it won't auto-open.

you Ben is correct. Wait a few seconds till ringing/vibration stops. then unholster.

Yup, or...(I believe) if you have the notifications off for emails, it will not open. I may be wrong on that one.
