List of Numbers Called & Received Keeps Disappearing!

Can anyone help me with this 7105t question? Every couple of hours under my Blackberries Phone icon I may go to see what number called, that I may have missed and the whole list is empty! This just started happening. HELP!!!

I know there's a setting to only view missed calls or all calls, or none. But the fact that it's intermittent kinda baffles me.

Mine was doing the same thing a couple of times. What worked for me was to just power cycle the phone. Your phone's registration will become degraded over time, especially if you never power it off. It can get so bad it will say emergency calls only or even no service. With a BB, it can cause the phone itself to become "confuzed" and it will just up and delete logs for either messages, calls, SMS's etc...

1. Power the phone down.

2. Remove the battery and SIM card.

3. Leave it all apart for AT LEAST a minute.
(this will cause it to disapear from line of sight for the tower entirely, and force the system to remove your registration entirely.

4. Put everything back together and power it on.

This has worked for me everytime that has happened, and it has only happened directly after I changed something. The most recent time was today when I installed 4.1, and I am pretty sure the last time was when I had to reinstall 4.0 per deleting a theme once deleted part of my OS.

Let me know if that helps, and if not there is always more to try when troubleshooting!!!!

Ok so I am a moron - let me just say that out of the gate....

The last time mine was doing the same thing was today. Not only was it deleting the calls, but also all text messages (SMS) the second they would come through - it wouldnt even vibrate or beep and they appeared and dissapeared in a flash. I had it working 100% fine for about 3 hours, and now - back to square one. Mine is doing the exact same thing. I can make a test call - the phone records it in both call log and also in messages as per I have it set to log all calls. It will stay there until the next time my phone registers with the towers and it immediately deletes it then. All sms are back to showing for less than 1 second and then they are gone.

How weird!!! This Blackberry seems to be more problems than its worth!!!
Thank you for your recommendation but it is still doing the same darn thing!

Anyone else? I think I'm going to take my Blackberry out for a drink after work and try to work out our issues!

I have no idea how or why, but mine has been working for over 24 hours now. For some reason after power cycling it like i explained above, the "enterprise activation" icon reappeared on my screen, but it is all working fine. When I had first finished loading OS 4.1 I put my login and password into the enterprise activation screen and it acted really odd and that is when my calls and sms's started to dissappear. Now that I have left that icon on the phone and not filled that info in, everything has worked fine since. Even all of my seperate email's that are being "pushed" into the phone and the BB email it came with are working 100%.

We will see what tomorrow will bring of course!!!

:ahh: OK!! I see I m not the only one with the lost phone log msgs/email msg issues I think ozrial is on to something!!! I have the same problem but only after I upgrade to 4.1 I saw the little briefcase icon and I think it says enterprise activation when I did nothing it worked fine...after I activate it! poof about 8 hours later I started losing all my info...so here i m getting ready for work and browsing to see if anyone had the same problem...so I did as ozrial said, so I m going to watch and see what happened...Thanks

Well the enterprise activation only works if you are on BES no? Maybe you guys were confusing your BB and it was acting up to punish you. BB's have feelings too

Ok folks I tried what Ozrial said and it works!! it is now 12 hours later and I am able to view all miss call or email notifications!! I have a BB 7105t so I am not really sure if I am using BES! but so far it works...hope this info helps!! Good Luck!!

butterfly2 - is your BB from your work or did you get it yourself? If it is through your work and you can get your work email it is BES. If you bought it yourself you prob do not have BES. I do not have BES myself. Its my own personal BB. I am a little worried now that I am promoted I will get a work BB and have to carry 2 around.

mine is personal!! so thank you for clearing up the BES issue!!LOL I was kinda confused there for a min...some of the exec staff have BES service at my job However I don't...I posted earlier that the dissappering calls/miss calls were now ok, but not !!! 24 hours later it is back to the SAME OLD DIRTY TRICKS!! BUMMER!!!:ahh:

Ok what I did was to erase the old desktop manager/handheld software 4.0 from my comp completely. I left the new 4.1 for the handheld in place, and installed the new desktop 4.1..I had the old 4.0 desktop and I used it to upgrade the BB to 4.1; Initially when I tried the 4.1 for the desktop it did not work...so I used the 4.0 to upgrade the BB to 4.1..now I have 4.1 for both desktop and BB att his point it seemed to have resolved the conflict the bb was having....however when I am doing a backup I get a communication error which states "data was not recognized by desktop" does anyone know what that is about??? after I click ok it continues the backup successfully!

TURNS OUT IT WAS OUT OF MEMORY...SO IT KEPT DELETING THE LOGS TO MAKE ROOM...SO THIS IS THE STEPS GO TO: TOOLS:OPTIONS:STATUS:

MINE WAS (0)...SO HE ADVISED ME TO TAKE SOME THINGS OFF THAT I DONT REALLY NEED...THEN PULL THE BATTERY (REBOOT) AND WHEN I GET HOME USE THE DESKTOP MANAGER>BACKUP>ADVANCE OPTIONS AND DELETE THE THINGS I DELETED ON THE BB PERMANENTLY BECAUSE ONCE YOU SYNC ALL THAT YOU HAVE TAKEN OFF FROM THE BB WILL BE PLACED BACK ON....HAVE NOT HAD ANY ISSUES SINCE...AND HE GAVE ME A CASE NUMBER AND A PHONE NUMBER DIRECTLY TO RIM AND SAID IF THE PROBLEM STILL KEEP HAPPENING THEN IT IS A PROBLEM WITH THE BB AND I WILL BE ISSUED ANOTHER ONE....
