Insert Sim Card? 7100i

So lately my BB has been turning off randomely and I was getting used to taking the battery out and putting it back in and it would come back to life. Yesterday, out of nowhere, when it came back on, it now says 'insert sim card' and I can't turn wireless on.

Anyone seen this before?

It looks like you dislodged the SIM card, it got jostled somehow; it is under the battery. I would suggest that you reseat it (pull SIM card out and push it back in snugly) and reboot then ought to work.

Good luck and let us know how it goes. Sometimes these sim cards go bad, lets hope what was suggested above works.

Re: Insert Sim Card? 7100i

sorry guys, I should have mentioned that I did all that in the begining. I've taken it out, moved it around and still it comes up like this. I talked to Telus' tech dept and they claim it's usually a defective unit but the fact that it seems to be working ok once it's on just doesn't make sense to me.
