try turning wireless off and turn it back on or take the sim card out and put it back in.

Did you try removing battery for a few seconds and putting back in? Sometimes rebooting this way clears the mind so to speak.

    Re: insert sim card 7100i

I had something similar to this happen with my first 7100t (I've had 6 BlackBerries), and my signal just up and died, except I was using mine when it died. I tried everything and it didn't work. I had to send my 7100t in for a replacement which sounds like what you may have to do. I've had people losing signal, browser, icons, etc on the forums this week but this tops them all. Time to get a new BlackBerry but just back up your programs, applications, etc, first.

Your only option is to get a new BB. That one's no good anymore.

Glad to hear it is fixed. Backing up is important I try to regularly.

Atleast it would have been under warranty if it would have been the device that went bad. I am seriously contemplating making this 8700 the first cell device ever that I purchased insurance for, depending on how much they want to charge for the insurance. I know that the deductible is $100.00
