I'm so confused with my 7100i BES

    Hi BB Guru's,

I bought a 7100i for personal use, then i found out that company has BES. I got my 7100i on the BES and i still use BIS, i'm not sure if i have to cancel my data plan with Nextel because i'm using BES. Isn't BES a data plan that my company already paid for? someone please explain this to me becuase i don't understand it at all. Thanks.

    Hi kabirjohnson,

Also see: http://blackberryforums.pinstack.com...erver_bes.html for more on the BES.

    Hope this helps a bit.

Your Blackberry data plan is required for access to either the BIS or BES, or both, if allowed. It is not included with the BES.

    Hope this helps

Rcb is correct, a data plan is required for BIS or BES. BES is really just a managment tool that works with your data plan. Is that really a good explanation Im not sure, but it is not the data itself.

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~ in a few ways you're better off with BIS as you have more individual control. I'd leave it the way you have it if I were you.
