How to unselect the "select all" setting?

I have a 7105t, when I press the trackwheel down to select more than one message, if I hold it down too long, this little white arrow comes up in the top right hand corner and it just continues to highlight everything for selection that I scroll on. Anyone know how to undo this? Thanks!

Press the ALT key and see if the icon disappears

Hate to sound ignorant, but which one is the ALT key on the 7105t? There is nothing labelled as such.

It should be on the bottom left with the arrows going up and down.
