how to find sent time of sms received?

when i receive txts/sms, the timestamp on them is that of when my blackberry downloads them. so if my blackberry is turned off and someone sends me a txt/sms, the sent time is that of when i turn my blackberry on. is there a way of finding the actual sent time of the txt/sms?

not that I have found yet.
maybe somebody else may know but I don't think you can.
besides asking the sender.

Highlight the time and date above your messages and hit the track wheel
Options
General Options
Highlight the option for date and time and set to yes

Reno that one just tells you when it was recieved.
the OP was asking about the option to see when it was sent.
IE if phone was off and you got the message three hours later when you turned the phone on.

Ok, found the .pdf file for this, please read it CAREFULLY as it explains the question you have.

Also goto your Settings > MMS and set the Notifications on. This DOES let you know when it was sent and when it was received. Also, next to the check by the text message of showing it was sent, it will show a little text letter above that showing either an R or a D.

R stating it WAS received by teh receiver and D stating was it was delivered successfully.

P.S it will send you a notification by another text stating this information.
