I had a blackberry 8700c and I bought a blackberry 7100g off ebay, partially because I wanted not to spend so much and so I could try out the suretype keyboard before I try to get a blackberry pearl, which are much more expensive than 33 dollars. My old blackberry used to be used on a data plan and has service books for cingular. My AT&T Pay as you go plan never had an issue there. It was when I got my new blackberry and popped my sim in and it gave me gprs data connection refused. I now know that I need service books for the data connection to work right. I have tried and tried to backup my 8700c service books and restore them to my 7100g but nothing happened. Can anyone help me with this problem?
Service books have to be sent from either your provider or BIS Login page where you setup you email online. Hope this helps. . feel free to PM me with any other Q:
Bassman is correct. Also note you need to go on line to your BIS page and enter your new device PIN in order for your BB data services to work properly.
In China 71xx ,we use : Delete browser->import service books -> install browser again to active view web-site via cmwap mode, if I plug out Sim card, need to do all the steps again to invoke cmwap mode
