Eliminating password 0n 7130c
Is it possible to eliminate having to input my password each and every time I turn on the phone. I'm the only user of the phone and would like to eliminate this step if possible?
zman101, Welcome to PinStack.
Was this BB Bought used? Are you connected to your Company BES? Did you enable the Password in order to protect your BB or was it already set up that way.
It will really help us help you if you take the time to fill in your PinStack Profile with the information concerning your device, Model, OS and Platform (Found on Options/About), BES Status, Location, and Carrier. Depending on the question, each of these may have an impact on how we respond.
Let us know if there is anything else we can do to help with this problem or your BB.
Hello sman101, welcome to pinstack.
Rcbjr - Thanks....Bought 7130c on ebay took my AT&T/Cingular SIM out of my working 7100g and inserted it the 7130 and got the SIM invalid message - called Cingular and they said since I was on an AT&T plan (which they want me to change and I refuse since I have a really good plan 950min @ 39.95/mo) they told me the phone is locked to Cingular and my only option was to get it unlocked. I'm in need of that service - however when I first turned on the phone it asked for a password and I complied (maybe I should not have done that) so now I must type in the damn thing each time I turn the unit on. Since I'm the only user can I eliminate that step?
I did update my profile as you suggested.
Thanks for updating your profile. I'm not exactly how to reset the Password option but Try going to Options/Security Options/General Settings and change the Password and Content Protection option to Disabled.
As to unlocking, there are several good services for that. I think the price range is $30 to $50 or there abouts.
Hope this Helps
