Anyone know the real difference between these two? Other than looks, I haven't found any solid distinctions.

tmobile dude just said the screen is a major difference, people complained about not being able to see the screen in sunlight...the 7105 supposed to be brighter

That would be a bigdifference.

That would also explain why they went with a revision number "05t" Rather than an upgrade number. If all of the specs other than the screen are the same.

y'all have probably found out by now what the differences are, but I'm caffinated and have a sec.

The 7105 has the software upgrade to make things run a bit quicker than the 7100, and the main selling point for me, is the bevels on the keys! This makes typing SOOOOO much easier than the 7100. The call send and end keys are bigger. I went to CompUSA and compared my new 7105 vs. the 7100 and was glad with the choice I made.

I had the 7100 and upgraded to the 7105t and it is definitely faster and if you tap on the power button, you can change the brightness of the screen between low and high.
Sometimes it will take a long time to boot after changing the battery but all in all...I am pleased

Newbie here! Thanks for the lcd tip. I'm REALLY new to BB. Other than the ancient 5810 that I used briefly, I'm far from where I need to be. I've got the 7105t as well!

I had the 7100g and no one could hear me, I heard the same is true for the 7100t. Can someone please weigh in this for me that has the 7105t, I really want to get rid of my 7290. Thanks.

I haven't used my 7105t as a phone yet, only for messaging and it is much easier to type with the contoured keys. The screen is much brighter also. Also, I personally love the fact that the 7100 series look more like phones than any other series and are therefore lighter to carry around and they support Bluetooth wireless headsets. If I use mine as a phone sometime soon, I will let u know how it works.
