First back up your device using the DM
    Second Do a battery pull.
Third if the problem continues, wipe the device, load the DM and use the back up to load you Address Book, Profiles, and Blackberry messenger (If you have any of these with contacts in them) usually people don't care about the wallpapers and etc as they save them on their desktop, but if you do then grab those as well from your bb.

    ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~
Seen this error before. I don't know what it means on a tecnical level, but I've seen two different outcomes:
    1. BB was able to connect with javaloader.exe and perform a 'wipe'. Then reloaded proper OS (verizon 8703e) using DM. Success!
    2. BB was *not* able to connect using javaloader.exe and was deemed by RIM a 'dead unit'. I needed to go to Varizon for a warranty replacement.
Let us know what the outcome is.

    Dead unit, probably not.

You can troubleshoot on here. There are ways to reload your OS. But you will need to do a back up to keep any addresses..ect.

If you need any help, PM/E-mail me.

    Re: device error 347

forgot to mention im doing this on a BB 7230.
tried doing the usb wipe on javaloader and it didnt work.
have been tryin to load the OS but is still not working. now is givin me a prefetch exception
also when i tried to load the OS it says..Unable to reconnect to the device during a multi-stage load operation.

should i just give up and declare this a dead unit?

    Could you direct me?

I am doing a search to try and find a "how to" wipe and reload os. Thanks for any direction on a thread. I am searching tons of stuff right now.
