when i first installed the desktop software everything was awesome.
about one month into totally utilizing my BBerry things went funky.
when i open desktop manager is changes to a state similar to "Safe mode"
data still transferres.... until i too got the dreaded jvm 102 message.
one handheld down, my service provider unable to rectify the devise.

i have uninstalled all bberry software and reinstalled as per the excellent info found on this site.... still goes awry when i open blackberry desktop manager.

Sorry you're having problems Horizon. What version of the Desktop Manager do you have? You may want to upgrade to the newest version. Here is the link:

Let us know how it works out.

Oh and Welcome to the Stacks. Glad to have you here.

Where do you get the "error JVM 102" in your BB or Desktop Manager?

if is in your BB maybe the problem started in your device, so try this:
    JVM 102Invalid code in filesystem
The system checked the COD files in the device for modification and determined that a problem exists with one or more COD files.
If all loads fail, a build process error might occur (a problem exists with signing the COD files).
If a user action on the device resulted in this problem, the reset cycle is continuous because the code in the filesystem has been corrupted. The only recovery method is to wipe the device and restore a new system.

    and reinstall Destop Manager.
