Connecting 7105t using USB
I recently purchased a 7105t and i'm new to the Blackberry world. can anybody tell me if it is possible to access the internet through my home computer to download applications to my phone? and if so how can I do that?
you can download apps to your PC and then load them via Desktop Manager.
Success is not final, Failure is not fatal, it is the courage to continue that matters.

I suggest trying this with some innocuous application for starters... and only after backing up your BB. Back when I had a 7105t I attempted to download a theme, and it killed my device, period. (It may have to do with the 7105t being kinda old by now and not upgradeable to the latest OS).
Yup. That happened to me too (I loved that phone LOL) . Loaded an incompatible theme to mine and was up all night wiping and restoring the theme.
As for the question by the OP, you can use the BB as a modem when connected to a PC. But the 7105t has a modem in the phone already that allows you to go online with a BlackBerry Data Plan.
To amplify a bit, some older Blackberries were not capable of being used as modems without extra software, e.g. Sharkmodem. But the 7105t is not one of them -- it IS capable of running as a modem, notwithstanding some misleading information to the contrary on the Net, and even in some reputable magazines.
