    Browser configuration service book entries

I bought a Brand new unlocked BB7105t off the net. I have Cingular and this is a T-Mobile device. I have the 400 text and 1.0MB internet on the cell plan. Just like tthe other problems people have on another thread (cant post link). i have the whole "Your device does not currently have any Browser Configuration Service Book Entries. Please contact your service provider to enable the Browser on your Device." I called cingular and they were NO HELP. Anyway I have no idea what to do and when i go to Tools>settings>service Book it says no entries and when i click on it, all it says is close and you cant add any or options or anything.

    someone please help...

Go too settings then advanced options, then click on host routing table, then scroll down too the highlighted numbers in the parenthesis click on it then click register now.

have you tryed to go to: [yourprovider].blackberry.com??? you can setup an account with your service provider for the blackberry configuration. Once in there you can send a fresh copy of your service books to you phone, this could help you. But remember you have to have a BlackBerry Plan with your phone service (blackberry internet access is defferent from the normal GRPS Access other phones use)

Re: Browser configuration service book entries

    I have the same problem.

I bought my 7100t on ebay, and had a cingular sim. I don't recall exactly what I did it was a year ago but I may have called cingular to get the service books sent, but am now in New Zealand (it was working fine up until the crash), using a vodafone sim, and had the phone crash (shat itself while i was deleting an entry in the calendar!!) and had to wipe it (javaloader) and reinstall.

Now the service books are gone, clicking register now does NOTHING for the service books. what can I do does anyone know? there are some apps (gmail) that req the original browser to install...

Hey! It worked on my 8830 as well. Mine disappeared after updating the OS. Saved me another week talking to Sprint. Thanks all!

    Fix for Bug

According to BBs website its a known issue. I cant link the page but here are the instructions:

    Workaround

Perform one of the following workarounds:
    Workaround 1
Delete and Undelete the service records by completing the following steps:

    1. Go to Options > Advanced Options > Service Book.
    2. Locate the BlackBerry Internet Browsing Service [Browser Config] service book.
    3. Display the menu and then select Delete. When the prompt Are you sure? is displayed, select the Delete button.
    4. Display the menu and then select Undelete.
    5. Repeat the previous steps for the IPPP for BIBS [IPPP] service book.

    Workaround 2
Upgrade to BlackBerry Device Software 4.5.
Note: This software may not be available for all BlackBerry smartphone models.

What worked quickly for me was to resend the service book from email set up. Doing it from the browser config several times did not work.

Do you have a BB data plan?
If you do clear the BB log by hitting ALT+L+G+L+G and selecting clear log.

Go to the browser options>Browser configuration click on the browser option and select restore defaults.

    resend the service book.

    Do a battery pull....

Let me know if that helps...if it does then its all good.
