The RIM Blackberry 7130e is rumored for release on Monday. ![]() Read more here: http://www.pinstack.com/blackberryfaq I don't really find that device very attractive. Looks like a Sagem phone. However, maybe it can grow on you since it's a tiny but packed device! What do you think about the new 7130e? |

Screen size is what bothers me. They seem to be getting smaller and my eyes seem to be getting worse. Des |

I think it's pretty decent looking and EVDO is definately a plus. I'd prefer QWERTY though |

I agree, qwerty would be better, but then it would be an 8700. I think this is a great first 7100 release for Verizon. My company just switched to corporate with Verizon and I would try this out in a second when it's time to switch for me. I somewhat like it. EVDO could make this a winner. |

I talked to Data Technical support last week and they have already been trained on the 7130, my contact wasn't sure if he liked it or not. No word on either an upgrade of the 7250 to EVDO or an 8700.

No word on a price or release date for this unit yet, but VZW did say it uses the EVDO network which is the same service as their Mobile Internet cards for a Laptop. That's pretty good. I've used those cards and speed is okay. |

Oh yeah, and an unlimited BB data plan is $45 a month for VZW customers in the St. Louis market.

I never thought that the EVDO would be and extra charge. Thanks for the info. Looks like roughly $60 a month for unlimited EVDO enabled BB service with VZW. Ouch for a private user like me. |
