An earpiece issue maybe. Dust may have got in your BB and caused your earpiece to malfunction. Just a thought.
I'm having an intermittent problem w/ audio on my 7100T. Caller can hear me but I can't hear them. Do you think hardware or software problem? I'm running 4.1 o/s.
I agree...some type of hardware issue.
I am pretty sure the only way that could be an operating system problem would be to go in and have screwed something up in the alx file, however, that would probably have disabled your phone all together, unless somehow you managed to get the .cod file opened, which if you did, please let me know how you decoded it.

Is the other caller on a landline or GSM or CDMA.
If CDMA, it could just be the caller is in an area with a weak signal and switching to analog.
Also, if you're in a densely populated area with a lot of users, you may just be experiencing heavy network traffic. This would result in dropped packets and choppy audio.
None of these scenarios would be device related, and are network defficiencies.
i think its an ear piece issue
DO OR DO NOT THERE IS NO TRY
it may be the flux capacitor. JK I had this problem for a bout 3 days and just pulled the battery and did a hard reboot after wiping the handheld. It seemed to work
Always somewhere else
I have experienced this as well. It was my ear piece.
