Can someone explain the difference between all the 71xx phones? I'm mostly interested in info on those available for AT&T or something I could unlock and use on that network. Thanks.

I know there is a way to compare without one of us typing out all the differences. Someone shall show you the way...

7100g/x (they have pulled a bunch of older devices off the list) http://www.discoverblackberry.com/de...p?navId=H0,C61

7100t/7105t (although the 7105t is not shown, they are essentially the same device, except the 7105t is black) http://na.blackberry.com/eng/devices/archived/7100t.jsp

7100 is a 32mb sure-type handheld. All of the 7100s are identical except for the color and slight differences in shape. They have a letter designation after the number that indicates the service provider: for example, 7100t is for T-Mobile, 7100c is for cingular/AT&T, etc. The 7105t is a T-Mobile handheld almost the same as the 7100t but with a few minor improvements: The keys are a different shape (on the surface), the connect/disconnect keys are substantially larger, the metal earpiece cover is down flush with the device (on the 7100 it stuck out a bit) and finally the screen is more scratch-resistant. I think the 7105 was introduced because of customer complaints about the 7100. The 7130 is a 64mb handheld. I think it's included with the 7100s because of it's small size, suretype, and screen size: but other than that it's more similar to newer BBs like the 8700. You would be able to use any of them that are GSM devices (AT&T, Cingular, T-Mobile). Any of them that are not AT&T branded would need to be unlocked.
