7130e Verizon - how to hard reset?

hi there! i am new to this site, and this is my first message on the forum. my wife and i both have just received our 7130e BBs. we are trying to hard reset them, just to make sure we start totally clean.

i have searched this site and haven't found anything that is really clear on how to do this. maybe i am just not looking in the right place? does anyone know how to do this OR could you give me a link that shows how? THANKS!!!!

why are you hard resetting already, did you load info on? If so take the back cover off and pull the batteries for about 30 seconds and then replace, will take a little bit for them to come back up

If you are looking to completely clear the devices then you go to Options, Security Options, click the track wheel, General Settings, click the track wheel, Wipe Handheld, but this option clears everything out of the device, usually only done after a if there was a problem that can't be fixed and you have a back up of your info

well since we both have zero info on the device, i don't see how doing a hard reset could be a bad thing - will just get rid of the old owner's stuff, right?

Yep, a hard reset is more for when the device seems a little slow, I pull my battery once a week minimum, but the wiping of the handheld is sounding like what you needed to do or wanted to do so that you can add your own info
