    7130c vs. 7130e

    I seen a post showing that the 7130c can play mp3 ringtones and the 7130e can't..... Can you put a 7130c op system on the 7130e and will that make it were it well play mp3 type ringtones?

    adalejrfan05, Welcome to PinStack.

    I don't think that the 7130c or g OS will load on the 7130e, and if you got it loaded it, probably wouldn't work. I'm not positive about this, but I think there is just to much difference between the CMDA e and GSM c and g models.

    Adding to RC's comment, the short answer is no.

    Partly due to wireless standards difference, but more than likely because the "e" is NOT intel based where the "g" and "c" are intel based.

    It's better to think of the 7130e as a 7100 for CDMA. The only thing "30" about it is the memory and RAM, and that it is EV-DO.

    i agree, it doesnt have the left convienence key that everybody seems to think is a PTT button
