7105t Modem Connection Speed

Can anyone tell me what the connection speed generally is when using the phone as a modem on the GPRS network...im connecting at like 19.1 kbps or whatever ...slooooow is there anything i can do to speed this up or am i stuck?

Thats about what I got with my 7105t. There is a way to speed it up, You get yourself an 8700g.

Just kidding. Thats about as fast as it will get. I dont know about you, but when I used my 71 as a modem, it crashed a lot.

Hi boots, welcome to pinstack. The speed from the 7105, as john said, wont go much faster than what you are experiencing. Maybe it is time for an upgrade?

Thanks guys, if I do upgrade will the edge network work the same way as the GPRS or can I not get on that network in the same way? Thanks for the assistance!!

I use my 8700g as a modem and my 7105t when I need to. You will need to set up a new connection for whatever Blackberry you upgrade to. But you will notice a huge diff in speed.
