7105 and direct sun

The Hawaiian sun proved to be a tough competitor for my 7105's screen. Iy was difficult to read in direct sunlight. I managed, but thought if this is an improvement over the 7100 then I'm really glad I got the 7105 and that 3 don't do much on my BB in direct sunlight.

haha. it's been rainy here all week. I'm glad you have good weather there. Nice you're keeping intouch. The 7105t's screen does better than previous 71xx series so yup you should be glad on your buy.

My 7100g isn't the greastest in direct sunlight. I usually just shield it to give some shade, making it easier to read. I do know that the 7290 is good in direct sunlight. I am thinking of giving the 7290 a try just because it's going to start getting sunny again out here and if I can't use my BB at the beach I'll be

Re: 7105 and direct sun

Yup, my 7100t isnt to fabulous in sunlight either. Admittingly it's normaly on "15" for brightness level; which is just about right for using within a classroom or my work (which also happens to be classrooms), but horrible for outside use. I like that the 8700 has the automatic brightness thing, that seems very handy. For me I just shield it if I'm typing outside like "dasupaman23" does.
