What is the data technology used in the 7100i???

I recently fried my sprint EVDO card and am going to get it replaced, but then it just hit me that maybe my blackberry is EVDO and I should just connect my PC when I need wireless internet.

    Regards,

Isn't the 7100i a Nextel device, not a Sprint? I think it is IDEN not EVDO, but I am not the Sprint/Nextel person on the Forums.

Correct Rich, the 7100i is not EVDO enabled. In fact Nextel used packet-based platform. Just means slow!

Based on that, I'll let sprint replace my aircard. Unfortunatly a visit to the sprint store is no walk in the park. They sell stuff, not service it or swap it or replace it. Undertrained and no sense of customer service. Couldn't understand that the card no longer work and needed to be replaced. Once they got it through their head, they had very little idea how to go about the task. But if I wanted a purple bluetooth headset, that they could handle.

That's insane. They don't know how to replace a defective piece of equipment??
