7100i as modem for laptop

I have a nextel 7100. My os is 4.1.0.376 plaform 2.1.0.46. I have windows xp. I was wondering if I can use my bb to access the internet on my laptop. If so can someone explain how. I tried doing it how it was explained un an earlier thread but would not connect.please help I'm visiting a friend and she doesn't have internet service at her house.

Can I access this via my phone cause all I have is my phone and a laptop with no internet service

Ok so checked out website. Is there anyway this can be done foe free? Besides the free trial that shark modem offers cause we aren't sure how long that will last~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

I dont believe so because all the trouble it takes to create a program and all you get is 19kbps packet data...

If you want phone as modem you really should check out Sprint's BB's...

I will do some more research and see if I can find anything for ya...

Thanks so much. Like I said there was a post earlier that talked about using your phone as a modem but for those you don't need any software~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~
