    Question 7100i and ipaq rx3715

    hello

Has anyone tried to connect their bluetooth 7100i to ipaq rx3715? When you use the bluetooth manager in the rx3715, the 7100i icon appears on the rx3715. oOnce you select to have the ipaq rx3715 connect to the internet via phone, both the ipaq and the 7100i require you enter a passkey. The passkey is accepted on the ipaq however the paskey is not accepted on the 7100i. I am trying to gain internet aqccess to my ipaq via the 7100i. I know that this is possible. Does anyone have any suggestions?

    Adee4ME, welcome to PinStack.

Why do you make this statement? It is not possible, with current Software to connect a BB to another handheld device. And it is certainly not possible to use The blackberry Bluetooth capabilities to allow it to act like a modem for another device.

I don't know what the capabilities of the Bluetooth app for the new pearl/8100 device are but I doubt even that device won't do what you want.

Somebody correct me if I am wrong.

Sorry, but why would you like to surf on an ipac when you have a BB?

    Adee4ME,

I have both the 7100i and the rx3715, too, and get the same results as you did. The 7100i shows the iPaq as a Bluetooth serial port. The iPaq shows the 7100i but fails to connect to it.

The main reason I would like to get the iPaq to utilize the 7100i connection would be for surfing on the iPaq at locations that didn't have free wireless. Then, with the attached SD card, the iPaq could do downloads, saves, etc, .... all the good stuff the 7100i can't do.

    Tony
