streaming audio on 8130

Hi all...

This might have been asked before but I couldn't find anything on it, but, is there a program or anyway of listening to streaming radio stations on the 8130?? I have the VZ Data package so, no biggie on the data use..

I'm looking for the same thing for my 8310. Would love to listen to my fav station when out of town.

If you are crafty (like me) you can also use the orb player which allows you to stream any radio station and also watch tv and movies.

tafaghodi, I would VERY MUCH like to be crafty like you on my VZW 8130. However, I'm a total newbie to BB and Orb. How might one use the orb player to stream to the BB????

well, I wasn't having any luck with youtube either and discovered in another thread that it only works with audioboost turned off. Got youtube to work and now orb works as well. Still wishing I could get XM, am a subscriber. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just food 4 thought, Verizon data plan are capped at 5gb, so they can stop your service with out warning with going over......

They say it's unlimited but it's at 5gb.

thanks for that info. Last time I was at the local Verizon store, I asked about limits on the "unlimited" plan and the girl at the service counter said it's 10g/month. bad info?

No, that is correct. If you read the EULA you will notice that the unlimited plan is actually 10 GB and streaming anything is not allowed. Not that it stops anyone. If you go over 10 GB/mo then you are most linkely hosting a wares server or other type of continuous download server, which is what they are trying to prevent.
