i just downloaded a theme from pinstack from/onto my phone but how do i get to the root file and open it??

the files you downloaded should have been .jad files. simply go to options, scroll down to themes, and find the one you just downloaded. if you tried to download a .zip file onto your phone that wont work. if it is a zip you have to download it to your pc and upload to your phone through desktop manager which converts it for you

just cause its a zip does not mean its a cod/alx them could be a jad in a zip so yea bbfilescout will open zips

cool, i just go through the desktop manager then. Thanks, now how do i delete the .zip file from my media card?

i did not now blackberrys could unzip zip files. learn something new everyday :]

go to Media> hit the menu key (left of trackball), select explore. then search through your folders till you find it and delete it

just go to media and then right click the bb button its the one to the side of the trackball and go to explorer, pick media card and look around for it and delete it

lol thanks and yea bb's can unzip zip files but u need Ziplorer or bbfilescout will do it and that one is a free app

thanks!! now when i'm in desktop manager, whats the easiest way to upload the .jad file from my PC to my 8330?

bigwilly if u dont have a memcard in the phone u will need to use media manager and move it on to the phone and then explorer the phone via media on the blackberry and explorer and looking for it,

or u can copy the jad link and email it to your bb or u can use the otaloader i will post to just copy the link in there hit download and it will extract the jad into cod/alx so u can use the desktop software to install it

during the download, it told me it failed. no COD file found. should i just go find a new theme?

hmm check out this post this dude has done a great version of the bold for the curve and so on and its free u pick the one u want to do desktop or ota intall to

thanks for your help but for some reason, its still giving me the same error message. "901 Invalid COD File no found". Any idea? I copied the .jad file straight to my media card through the mass storage option and then tried to run it from my phone.
