well, they would be stoopit! for that price i'd forgo push email and buy a geek toy like the iPhone. my guess is it'd be a bit more than the 199 ATT charges for the current Curve cuz you gotta justify add'l outlay for the @home router which is ESSENTIAL.

well, not that it makes MUCH difference, but i paid $480 for my curve, the day ATT came out with it, without a contract -- full retail.

i don't see why the wifi shouldn't work is should once you enable it on the phone if not then that would be just stupid.

It works on wifi, and hotspot@home. Whether you have a hotspot@home router or not.

for us noobs to t-mobile, why is it that it'll work without the @home router? thought there was a firmware module built-in. so does that mean any wi-fi enabled gsm will work as well?

You are confusing yourself. WIfi is wifi regardless of the router. Its going over the internet and nothing else. Nothing special

However, if you have the @home service then you can make unlimited phone calls through your WiFi router. That is the only difference. If you don't have the @home service on your account then you can just surf the web at high WiFi speeds!
