I've just been using the one that comes in the Desktop Manager Software. The newest version is in the 4.3 Desktop Manager Software and can be downloaded from the http://www.blackberry.com website. Just plug in your bb, open the media manager, and find the movie that you want to transfer. Once you select the movie there should be a button in the middle section dividing the upper and lower section of the screens that says "Copy Down". When you click on that it will give you a little window with 3 options, choose the one in the middle that says "Convert for optimal playback" and it will transfer it to you bb and convert it in the process. Before you hit copy make sure you are viewing the sd card in the lower half of the screen and not the device memory or it will not work(file is way too big to fit on device memory). Once it's done that's it. When you open media player on your bb it may take it a minute or two to show up in the list the first time(it did on mine anyways). That's all there is to it. You should be all set to watch your movie. If you are using the 4.2 version of desktop manager the process should be pretty much the same. I have used this process on 3 or 4 movies myself and it works great. Good luck, let us know if you have any problems. Tucker |

Are you sure this works for an unripped DVD? If you don't need to rip the DVD first, then go with the above option, but if you need to rip first, read on: You may need to rip the DVD to AVI before you can transfer it. The program I personally swear by is DVDx. It's free and fully functional. Rips DVDs to AVI and you can also choose the output resolution and quality. I always rip my DVDs to the BB screen size, that way the Blackberry Video Creator can handle it faster. Super widescreen movies like Live Free or Die Hard are 320x138 on the Curve and most other widescreen movies are 320x180. Any standard 4:3 movie will fill the entire screen at 320x240. The movie Shooter, for instance, looks amazing at 320x240, filling the entire screen and showing amazing detail. Be careful when choosing the output resolution because if you get it wrong, the movie will appear either squished or stretched. |

| Re: DVD converter for BB Curve 8320 DVDFab Platinum is my favorite ripper, and it'll rip to all formats for all devices. I'd post a link for it but I'm new and it won't let me. Message me and I'll get you hooked up |

Yes, I should add that what I did above was with the movie already in avi format. It had already been ripped. Tucker |

| Re: DVD converter for BB Curve 8320 Is the movie full-screen or widescreen? If it's full screen then the resolution should be 320x240. If it's widescreen, it should be 320x180.
