| 8320 lags...
I don't know about everyone else here but my 8320 is a lot slower than my previous pearl. This device lags and to test just how bad it is, I was playing brickbreaker and noticed the ball constantly locking up and going slow. It's definitely not as smooth as the pearl and is really pissing me off. Plus the trackball isn't as sturdy as the pearl either. I tested the in-store model as well with the same results, just not as smooth as my pearl. Considering taking it back and sticking with the pearl and maybe waiting for the pear 2 to come out.

Hmmm...I am noticing the total opposite on my 8320 so far. Had the Pearl before and brickbreaker was always having little pauses while I played and on my curve its as smotth as ever! Everything on my curve seems faster than my pearl.

I haven't noticed any lags on the 8320 yet. Perhaps there's a lot of programs open? Or data being transfered that causes your lags?

What is your memory like? Do you have any pics saved to your device? Have you done a hard reset (pull the battery out)? If you still have tons of space, and have done a hard reset, exchange it for another one.

I just got back and exchanged it for another one and it seems like all the 8320's are the same. I test 2 other ones at the store and the same. It's just not as smooth as a pearl. I tested a pearl, an 8800 and the 8320 all side by side and the pearl and 8800 were all much smoother than the 8320. T-Mobile said it was the software and there should be the new version 4.3 coming out soon which should address the lag issue and slow Wi-Fi. Hopefully it comes out soon or I'll go with an 8800 series.

When i go to launch a movie, it comes up in half a second, on the 8800 it takes a good 3-4 seconds... and on the pearl it takes about 10 seconds. Skipping is about the same as well. Bluetooth - On the 8100, it was the worst trying to link up with my globalstat gps, the 8320 does it seamlessly and works inside all apps instantly. 8100 is old 8800 was twice as fast as the 8100 8320 is four times as fast as the 8800. I removed all un-necessary crap... I have about 10 games, all the vendor themes including some of my own, about 12 apps. 7 of which are running all the time like berry-a-code, profile switcher. i am not running jivetalk at this time. |

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~im having absolutly no lag at all with my 8320 my 8100 would sit there with the hour glass for minutes before loading. So this was like going from a 94 dodge shadow to a 2008 corvette c6... Sorry about the analogy, I'm a big car guy. Lol

I agree. I had the 8100 before I got my 8320 and the 8320 is way faster for me. My pearl would take forever to just navigate around the file system and open, switch around apps. I don't really experience much lag at all w/ my 8320.

I'm also having a huge lag problem and it's super annoying. I don't have any pics or videos. The only thing I have installed in Opera mini. I wonder if anything needs to be fixed, or I just need to get a new phone?
