VZW 8830 Phone Options>Voice Mail>Password>Uncaught exception

When I go to Phone>Phone Options> Voice Mail> (I set the password)>Save>"Uncaught exception: java.lang.ClassCastExceptio"

Could this have anything to do with when I backup the 8830 it craps on "Receiving Phone Options" and displays the error of: "Communication Error: The data was not recognized by the device."

???

Ehh what should I do?

Gremlins

uncaught exceptions are weird, they can pop up from nowhere. A confused app, the wrong app, etc......
you need to see the BB as a very small computer, if you left your home PC on 24/7 you will get slow downs and errors.
a batt pull is like running disk defragment.
keeps everything running smooth and consistant.

hope my ramblings and thoughts make sense

I'm getting my error mentioned above witht he most recent Bell CMDA software...funny this all started when I could not backup my "Phone Options", the wizard hung there adn said the device could not recognise the data...so I cleared the "Phonebook Options" in advanced on Desktop, and now backup works up VM password does not! Ugh This is after a battery pull

I figured out the cause of this. Its when you change any option in the Voicemail then it corrupts the "Phone Options". I use grandcentral so I change my # from the default to my GC # and then it corrupts. This is across multiple pieces of 8830 hardware and software....

I'm not sure if I changed the voice mail # or not after I started having problems. I get this exact error but only when I manually backup, if I 'AutoBackup' it won't error, but the AutoBackup file doesn't save, so for a month and a half I thought I had AutoBackups but I didn't, shows how dense I can be. Any help would be appreciated. Also seems like that is around the time that Cellcom had an OS update for my 8830 from BB too. Not sure if that has anything to do with it or not... hmmmm
