I have the 8830 from Verizon and every time I try to view a video it says "error viewing this video"
They are .avi so I don't understand the problem.
I have yet to see a video work on this phone except the preloaded.

You need to convert them to work on the phone and we can't watch video from you tube. I have watch quite a few movie on my phone so I know it works. All I use is the roxie player that came with your phone if you bought it new. ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

I have the same problem. The Roxio that came with my 8830 doesn't show a video import option, only photos and audio show up on the drop down menu. I've tried using SUPER and DVD To Go and I still can't get anything to work.

What form does a video have to be in to watch it through my 8830?

    Thanks for any help/info/suggestions....

I just switched from an 8830 and I had no problems watching video on my phone. If you have a SD card, start up the Roxio Manager and drag and drop a video in the "Video" folder. A box will pop up that asks you to convert for optimal playback. Choose convert and then when it's done, play it on your BB.

Try to make sure you convert them to the smalest one you can that's what I do. Anything else is almost a waste of space. ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~
