Arrow having trouble activating my 64 k boost mobile sim card on bb 8830 we

I just went out and got the 64k blackberry sim card.

I go to boostmobile.com to activate the sim card and Everything goes smooth until It asks for the 15 digit imei code. Now I enter the code and it tells me the number must start with two zeros.

This is where im stuck. Can anyone help me, Or do i need to first activate the sim card on a boost mobile phone

Again i have a sprint blackberry 8830 world edition. The sprint version of 8830 comes unlocked already. Can anyone suggest what i might do, Perhaps call boost mobile instead of use the internet activation....

    Stuck at the imei

Not a boost IMEI just a compatible IMEI. If you have anything other than your blackberry thats an iDen phone you have to use and IMEI that starts with 001... or 000... Hit me up if you dont have any laying around. I'm on gtalk now or msn.

Just noticed also if your using a 8830 which will not be compatible anyways. You have to have the 7100i or 7250 or the new 8350i. Those are the only iDen blackberrys compatible with boost mobile

This guy is one of the rudest people I have ever encountered. I wish you luck in trying to get additional help. I hope your higher knowledge of everything mobile allows you to miraculously find your answers.

so you claim boost mobile will not work on my 8830 we in no way no how , when its been tryed and proven that you can flip flop the sim card from a boost phone to the blackberry and get service, Whats your argument for me trying to use a at&t gsm card? Why wouldnt this work? ? ? ? You can't go on and tell me at&t is iden as well

    meeklo,

I posted this in your other thread as well but I am pretty sure that the 8830 does not support domestic GSM bands. Sorry.

The iDEN SIM will not work on a GSM phone. You will need an iDEN unit and an unlock code as well.
