Question Please give me feedback regarding Pearl v. 8830 v. 8703

    Hello All,

I have been an avid pearl fan for some time now. I am sad to say I have to switch phones because my work has changed from Verizon to Cbeyond. Cbeyond only offers the 8830 and the 8703. I do not know much about the other two phones, but I know I love my pearl.

Can anyone and EVERYONE please let me know what they personally think about the other two phones, of course, I would like it if you had experience with the pearl as well.

I am leaning towards getting the 8830 because it has the trackball that I like on the pearl, and it is smaller. But, as far the phone goes, I am not sure which is better and which has better features.

Please help me make the right decision between the 8830 and the 8703.

    Thanks

    Brian

I would choose from the 8830 or the pearl.. even though the 88xx is much bigger and heavier it has more functions and it depends wether you want a full querty or suretype..

Go with the 8830 I have used all three and still love my 8830. Trackball goodness, mp3s,expandable memory too...thinner then the bigg 8703e. ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

I like my 8703 with 4.2 installed. but if you had a pearl the thumb wheel on the 8703 will be hard to get used too. The 8830 used the trackball. Other then multimedia and GSM if you travel abroad, the 8830 doesn't offer much more then the 8703e.

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~the pearl is built pretty cappy to me the 8830 has a better quality and I love it I used to love suretype on my 7130 but hated it on the pearl its to small the 8700 is built like a tank it can really take a beating if your in a rough field that's a good choice or if your just clumsy like me but its also kinda outdated I would go with the 8830 I have that and a 8130 and when I did use my pearl I never used the camera the trade off of quality and small buttons even smaller screen is to great

If you liked the pearl than you will like the 8800 as well. The 87XX is a great device....I miss mine at times. But going from the pearl to the 87XX you will find to many things missing. The 8800 is a solid, reliable phone. You won't be disappointed. I've had all 3 phones in question here as other posters here have. (part of being a BB junkie) The only thing better is the Curve, (yet available)but that's not an option for you. Good luck.......and GO REDWINGS!!
