    mi lil sis got an brand new 8830 from sprint, but we cant find the browser icon or the set up internet email icon either, any suggestions why?

    how long has she had data? it cant take up to 24hrs for it to take in affect. try going to options<advanced<host routing table. bring up the menu and hit register now.

    I just received and activated my Sprint 8830 last week, and as I recall I did not see the browser icon until well into the activation phase. Also, I did not have a 1XEV signal indication until the 8830 had completed activation.

    She can call Sprint at *228 on her BB and confirm whether the activation/registration process has been completed, and whether her voice and data plans are set up correctly.

    it at times can take several days and may need data packs resent and a good battery pull.

    I am having an issue with sprint. I am not able to set up email. Is this one of those times where I will have to call and wait a few hours to get through to set email up or shouldn't I be able to set it up online?

    So why cant you set up email, what kind of errors are you getting? You have logged into sprint.blackberry.com or from the BB?
