    Music on Media Card

I first transferred music using roxio to the BB. Then I changed it to enable USB mass storage and now transfer music clicking and dragging between Windows folders.

When going to Media > Music I see the file names that were on the device then deleted under All Songs or Artist etc., but none of the files on my media card.

How do I get the files on the media card to appear when going to Media > Music?

P.S. - I can hit the menu button when Music is highlighted and explore the media card, but it won't show in the All Songs, or Artist, or Album views.

Are you sure you put the Music on your media card and not the device memory ?

I dont use Roxio to drag files onto my device or media card.

I enabled Mass Storage and do it from Windows.

Yes it's definitely on the media card. You can view the files there by "Exploring" the media card. The files are also visible on the media card in the windows folder when connected, and through the Roxio Media Manager.

    That's where they are.

When I hit the menu on the Music screen and check the options, the only memory choices I have are 12MB or 15MB as if the media card isn't an option to read for music.

insert the Media card into BB and take a picture with the camera...it should ask you if you wish to save images ...SELECT YES

if it ask you that and allows you to save there then it sees the Media Card...

Sadly the 8830 doesn't have a camera. I sometimes can't get the music to show up. I have to pull the battery before I can view it.

I pulled the battery too. That did it.

Just like the IT guys at work, when all else fails, cut the power.

    Thank you.
